Why Prisma instead of integrating Booking.com yourself

With Prisma

  • One API key for every platform
  • One JSON format: rating, text, author, reply, url
  • Signed webhooks for new reviews and replies
  • History kept from the day you connect
  • Test keys with sample data before going live

Booking.com on your own

  • Booking.com has paused new connectivity partners
  • No public API for guest reviews of your property
  • Scores out of 10 and split “liked / disliked” text
  • Replies only in the Extranet

Three steps to Booking.com reviews in your product

  1. Connect

    Add the property’s public Booking.com page. No Extranet login is shared with Prisma. The listing URL is the property’s public page on booking.com.

    POST /v1/connections
    curl -X POST https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/connections \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $PRISMA_API_KEY" \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
      -d '{
        "platform": "booking",
        "listing_url": "https://www.booking.com/hotel/us/acme-hotel.html"
      }'
  2. Read

    Public guest reviews with score, title, what the guest liked and disliked, guest name and date. New reviews also reach your webhook as review.created.

    GET /v1/reviews
    curl "https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews?platform=booking&has_reply=false" \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $PRISMA_API_KEY"
  3. Answer on the platform

    Read only: Booking.com has no reply API for third parties. Every review includes a link to answer it on the platform, so the property answers it in the Extranet.

    GET /v1/reviews/{id}
    curl https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews/rev_01JB7Q \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $PRISMA_API_KEY"
    # → "url": the review on Booking.com, where the business answers it
