Reviews API integrations

Prisma connects to 11 review platforms. On Google Business Profile, the App Store, Google Play, Judge.me and Trustpilot you read and reply through their official APIs. On Yelp, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Yotpo, REVIEWS.io and G2, which don’t let third parties reply by API, Prisma reads your reviews and each one includes a link to answer it on the platform. Every integration returns the same normalized JSON, so adding a platform to your product doesn’t mean writing new code.

Webhooks (review.created, review.updated, reply.published) are sent by Prisma for every platform, even when the platform itself doesn’t offer them. Which platforms each plan includes is on the pricing page: Google, the app stores, Judge.me and Trustpilot are in every plan, the rest from Beam.

What every integration includes

Platform notes

Google Business Profile

Google requires an approved application before a project can call the Business Profile APIs — until then, its quota is 0 queries per minute. Prisma uses its own project, so you only connect your locations. Searching for the Google My Business API? It’s the old name for the same reviews.

App Store

Apple’s App Store Connect API authorizes requests with JSON Web Tokens signed by an API key you create in App Store Connect. It lets you list customer reviews and manage your responses.

Google Play

The Google Play Developer API only returns reviews created or modified in the last week, and only reviews that include text. Replies are limited to 350 characters. Prisma polls and stores reviews so you keep the full history.

Trustpilot

Prisma reads your company’s service reviews and publishes replies through Trustpilot’s official API.

Yelp, Tripadvisor and Booking.com

None of them lets third parties reply to reviews through an API, and Yelp’s public API only returns up to three review excerpts per business. Prisma reads the full public reviews of the listings you add through data providers, never by logging into your account. Prisma is read only there: every review includes a link to answer it, so the owner replies in Yelp for Business, Tripadvisor’s Management Center or the Booking.com Extranet. Calling the reply endpoint for these reviews returns 422 reply_not_supported with the platform and that url.

FAQ

Can I mix platforms in one account?

Yes. One API key covers every platform. Filter with ?platform=google or leave it out to get all reviews for a location.

Do I need my own developer account on each platform?

For Google Business Profile, no: Prisma uses its own Google Cloud project. For the App Store and Google Play you give Prisma access to the account that owns the app: an App Store Connect API key, or an invitation to Prisma’s service account in Play Console.

Which plan includes Yelp, Tripadvisor and Booking.com?

Every paid plan, from Beam. They need paid data sources on our side, so the free Spark plan covers Google Business Profile, the App Store, Google Play, Trustpilot and Judge.me. See pricing.

Can Prisma read competitors’ reviews?

No. Prisma only works with businesses and apps you own or manage.
