Yext alternative for reviews
Prisma is a Yext alternative only for the reviews part. Yext is built around listings: keeping your business data consistent across 200+ publishers, plus reviews, pages and search, sold by custom annual quote. Prisma does not manage listings at all. It is one API to read and reply to reviews on Google, the App Store, Google Play, Judge.me and Trustpilot, with Yelp, Tripadvisor and other platforms in beta: 2 locations free, then plans from €49 a month. If listings are why you use Yext, stay on Yext.
First, the honest part: Prisma is a partial Yext alternative
Most people looking for a Yext alternative want to replace listings management: name, address, phone, hours and categories pushed to Google, Apple, Bing, Facebook and directories. Prisma doesn’t do any of that.
Prisma fits a narrower case: you use Yext (or considered it) mainly to see and answer reviews, and you’d rather have that data in your own product, BI or client portal through an API.
| Your main need | Is Prisma an alternative? |
|---|---|
| Sync listings across directories | No |
| Local landing pages, site search | No |
| AI search visibility tracking | No |
| Read reviews from Google, the App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, Trustpilot | Yes |
| Reply to those reviews from your own app | Yes |
| Reviews in a data warehouse or client portal | Yes |
Yext pricing: custom, annual, no free tier
Yext is open about not publishing prices. Its FAQ says pricing is custom and depends on number of locations (or providers, in some industries), the solution and contract length. Billing is annual, multi-year commitments get better rates, and there is no free tier or standard free trial: Yext recommends a demo. Listings come packaged in the solution; review response is listed as an add-on.
That model suits enterprises buying a packaged solution. It doesn’t suit a developer who wants to test a reviews integration on two locations this afternoon.
Prisma’s pricing is public: Spark is free for 2 locations, Beam is €49 a month for 10, and larger plans go up to 200 locations. Monthly billing, or 20% off yearly.
Yext reviews and the Yext API
Yext offers a Management API that can push and pull Content, Analytics, Reviews and Listings data (Yext APIs). For reviews, Yext’s Hitchhikers training documents creating, updating and deleting review responses through the API.
So yes, you can automate review replies with Yext. The catch is the same as with every suite: the API works on data inside your Yext account, so it comes after the contract.

Where Yext wins: listings at scale, a central knowledge graph, local pages and enterprise support. For a 500-location retailer that needs consistent data on every map and directory, Prisma is not a substitute.
Where Prisma wins: reviews as data. One format across Google, Trustpilot, Judge.me and both app stores, signed webhooks, a public price, and no Google Cloud project of your own for the Google Business Profile API, because Prisma connects through its own.
When to choose each
Stay on Yext if listings accuracy is your main job, you need local pages or site search, or procurement prefers one enterprise vendor.
Choose Prisma if reviews are the only thing you need from Yext, you want them in your own product or BI, or you manage reviews for clients and need a price per location you can plan around. See Prisma for multi-location brands.
Use both if Yext handles listings and your engineering team wants review data in its own pipeline. Prisma doesn’t touch listing data, so they don’t conflict.

Reviews into your own pipeline
A webhook tells you when a review arrives; one call fetches it. A minimal backfill looks like this:
curl "https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews?platform=google&since=2026-01-01T00:00:00Z&limit=100" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PRISMA_API_KEY"let cursor;
do {
const url = new URL("https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews");
url.searchParams.set("since", "2026-01-01T00:00:00Z");
if (cursor) url.searchParams.set("cursor", cursor);
const res = await fetch(url, {
headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.PRISMA_API_KEY}` },
});
const { data, next_cursor } = await res.json();
await saveToWarehouse(data); // your code
cursor = next_cursor;
} while (cursor);import os, requests
params = {"since": "2026-01-01T00:00:00Z", "limit": 100}
while True:
r = requests.get(
"https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews",
headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['PRISMA_API_KEY']}"},
params=params,
).json()
save_to_warehouse(r["data"]) # your code
if not r.get("next_cursor"):
break
params["cursor"] = r["next_cursor"]Moving reviews off Yext in 5 steps
- Check your contract. Yext bills annually; plan the switch around renewal.
- Get a Prisma API key and follow the quickstart.
- Connect each location with owner or manager access: Google Business Profile and Trustpilot by OAuth, App Store with an App Store Connect API key, Google Play by inviting Prisma’s service account in Play Console.
- Backfill and subscribe to webhooks (
review.created,review.updated,reply.published,reply.failed). - Move reply workflows to
POST /v1/reviews/{id}/reply, then drop the review add-on at renewal if you keep Yext for listings.

FAQ
Does Prisma manage listings like Yext?
No. Prisma never edits business names, hours, addresses or categories. It only reads and replies to reviews.
How much does Yext cost?
Yext doesn’t publish prices. Its FAQ says pricing is custom by locations, solution and term, billed annually, with no free tier or standard free trial.
Can you reply to reviews with the Yext API?
Yes. Yext documents creating, updating and deleting review responses through its Management API. Review response is listed as an add-on.
Can I use Prisma and Yext together?
Yes. Yext for listings, Prisma for review data in your own systems. Prisma never writes listing data, so the two don’t conflict.
Which review platforms does Prisma cover?
Google Business Profile, the App Store, Google Play, Judge.me and Trustpilot (beta) with replies through each platform’s official API. Yelp, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Yotpo, REVIEWS.io and G2 are read only, in beta: they offer no reply API to third parties, so each review comes with a link to answer it on the platform.
