Which review platforms have an API?
Short answer: of the 32 review platforms Prisma connects to, 8 let a business read and reply to its reviews through an official API (Google Business Profile, App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, Trustpilot, eBay, Trusted Shops, eKomi), and 24 are read only because they offer no reply API to third parties. 16 expose an official API that the account owner connects with a sign-in or their own credentials; the other 16 are connected with the public page of the business, because they have no reviews API open to third parties (or only a public one that needs no credentials). Google is a special case: public reviews come through Google Maps today, and the Business Profile API (every review, with replies) opens once Google approves Prisma’s access.
Prisma returns all of them in one JSON format and sends a webhook for every new review. It publishes the reply you send through the platform’s official API and never writes replies. 27 of the 32 are live or in beta today; the rest are waiting for each platform’s approval.

Every platform page explains what you get, how the business connects and the exact request. Facebook takes no replies because Meta removed the Page ratings API in Graph API v22.0; its recommendations are read from the public Page. Connection details for each one are in the Platforms reference, and what we learned building them is in Review platform APIs: lessons from integrating 25 of them.
How to read the table
- Official API, the owner signs in (OAuth): the account owner authorises Prisma once in the platform’s own sign-in screen. Prisma never sees a password.
- Official API, the account’s own credentials: the business creates an API key or token in its own account on the platform and gives it to Prisma, which stores it encrypted.
- Public page of the business, no login shared: the business pastes the address of its own public page. Some of these platforms have a public read API that needs no merchant credentials (Steam, WordPress.org, Etsy); the rest offer no reviews API to third parties, or only a few excerpts (Yelp), so Prisma reads the public page through a data provider. Yelp, Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Google Maps start at the Beam plan because each read has a cost.
- Reply by API: "Yes" means Prisma publishes the reply you send through the platform’s official API. "No" means the review carries a
urlto answer it on the platform, andPOST /v1/reviews/{id}/replyreturns422 reply_not_supported.
Frequently asked questions
Which review platforms let you reply to reviews by API?
Through Prisma, 8 of the 32 platforms take replies by API, always through the platform’s official API and only for the account that owns the reviews: Google Business Profile, App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, Trustpilot, eBay, Trusted Shops, eKomi. Prisma publishes the reply you send; it never writes one.
Which review platforms are read only?
24 platforms don’t let third parties publish replies by API: Yelp, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Yotpo, REVIEWS.io, G2, Etsy, Steam, Okendo, Feefo, Loox, ProvenExpert, Shopper Approved, WordPress.org, Salesforce AppExchange, Facebook, OpenTable, DoorDash, Angi, Checkatrade, Avvo, Capterra, Apartments.com, Google Maps. Prisma reads their reviews and each review carries a link to answer it on the platform.
Do all of these platforms have an official reviews API?
No. 16 connect through an official API with the account owner’s sign-in or credentials (Google Business Profile, Trustpilot, eBay, App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, Yotpo, REVIEWS.io, G2, Okendo, Feefo, Trusted Shops, eKomi, Loox, ProvenExpert, Shopper Approved). The other 16 (Yelp, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Etsy, Steam, WordPress.org, Salesforce AppExchange, Facebook, OpenTable, DoorDash, Angi, Checkatrade, Avvo, Capterra, Apartments.com, Google Maps) connect with the public page of the business instead: a few of them have a public read API that needs no merchant credentials, and the rest offer no reviews API to third parties, or only a few excerpts, so Prisma reads the public page through a data provider. Prisma never logs into anyone’s account and only reads listings you own.
Does Google have a reviews API?
Two. Places API returns at most 5 public reviews of any place, and the Google Business Profile API returns every review of locations you own or manage and lets you reply, after an access approval. Prisma reads public Google reviews through Google Maps today and will add Google Business Profile, with replies, once Google approves its access.
Is the data the same on every platform?
Yes. Every review comes back with the same fields: id, platform, location_id, rating (1 to 5), text, author, created_at, reply and url. Webhooks (review.created, review.updated, reply.published) fire for every platform, even for those that have no webhooks of their own.
