B2B software reviews API: G2, Capterra, Gartner Peer Insights, Software Advice and marketplaces
Prisma is a B2B software reviews API: one REST API that reads the reviews of the B2B software vendors you own or manage, from every platform that matters to them, in one JSON shape, with a signed webhook on every new review. Built for SaaS marketing and product teams, app vendors on Shopify, Atlassian and Salesforce, and the tools that aggregate customer feedback.
2 locations free. Test keys return sample reviews from every platform. No card, no sales call.
Why B2B software vendors need an API, not six integrations
- G2 has an API for vendors; Capterra, Software Advice and Gartner Peer Insights have none, their reviews live on the product page only.
- Marketplace reviews (Shopify App Store, Atlassian, AppExchange, WordPress.org) have no vendor API either, and each page has its own structure.
- None of them allow a reply by API; the vendor response is written in each portal.
- Reviews arrive on whichever site the customer uses, so product feedback is scattered across seven dashboards.
Prisma measured all of this when it integrated the platforms; the per-platform rules are in the State of Review Platform APIs 2026.
The platforms, and what each one allows
| Platform | Reply by API | Connects with | Status in Prisma |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Beta |
| Capterra | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Live |
| Gartner Peer Insights | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Beta |
| Software Advice | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Beta |
| Shopify App Store | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Beta |
| Atlassian Marketplace | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Live |
| Salesforce AppExchange | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Live |
| WordPress.org | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Live |
| Trustpilot | Yes, once the platform approves Prisma’s access | OAuth sign-in by the owner | Coming soon, waiting for the platform’s API approval |
Trustpilot will join as soon as each platform approves Prisma’s access. Everywhere else the review comes with its URL and you answer on the platform.
What teams build with it
- One feed of every review of your product across G2, Capterra, Gartner and the marketplaces, into your warehouse or feedback tool.
- A webhook that posts each new review to the product channel with rating, pros and cons, and the reviewer’s role.
- Quarterly reports by competitor category using the same JSON for every site.
One call, every platform
curl "https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews?platform=g2&has_reply=false&since=2026-10-01" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PRISMA_API_KEY"Every review comes back with the same fields whatever the platform: id, platform, location_id, rating (always out of 5), title, text, author, language, created_at, reply and url. This call lists the G2 reviews since 1 October that nobody has answered yet; drop the platform filter and you get every platform in one list, newest first. Register a webhook with POST /v1/webhooks to receive review.created the moment a new one is synced; the webhooks reference has the payload and the signature check.
Honest limits
- Prisma reads reviews of businesses you own or manage. It is not a scraper for competitors’ reviews.
- On platforms without a reply API, Prisma can’t post for you; it returns the link and the existing reply.
- Public-page platforms are read on a schedule (every 6 to 24 hours depending on the plan), not in real time; see how often Prisma checks.
- Prisma never writes replies. Your team or your own AI writes them; Prisma publishes the exact text you approve.
FAQ
Is there a Capterra or Gartner Peer Insights API?
No. Neither publishes a reviews API for vendors. Prisma reads the public reviews on the product pages you own, read-only, with pros, cons and the vendor response where the site shows them.
Can I reply to G2 or Capterra reviews by API?
No. None of the B2B review sites expose a reply API; Prisma returns each review with its URL so you answer in the vendor portal. Trustpilot is the exception once it approves Prisma’s access.
Does the G2 connection need a paid G2 plan?
It needs a G2 API token with access to product reviews, which G2 issues to vendors with an API-enabled profile; check your G2 plan.
