Repuso alternative: a reviews API with official access and replies
Repuso and Prisma both sell a reviews API with normalised JSON, daily data and signed webhooks, and both are priced publicly and low. The difference is the kind of access. Repuso crawls public profiles, yours or anyone’s, and stops at reading. Prisma connects to the platforms as the business owner, through their official APIs where they exist, and can publish replies. Which one fits depends on whether the reviews are yours and whether you need to answer them. Numbers below are from Repuso’s own pages in October 2026; check them before deciding.

Where Repuso is the better choice
- You want competitor reviews next to your own. Prisma only reads businesses you own or manage.
- You need sentiment, summaries or translation from the vendor. Prisma leaves that to your own model or assistant.
- You have many small profiles and read a little: $1.99 a profile with 1,000 requests is hard to beat for monitoring alone.
- You also want widgets and review invitations in the same account.
Where Prisma is the better choice
- You need to reply by API: App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, eBay, Trusted Shops, eKomi, WooCommerce, Wix and others today, Google Business Profile and Trustpilot once each approves Prisma’s access.
- The reviews are yours and you want them through the official route, with the owner’s authorisation, every review and the owner’s reply, not what a crawler can see.
- You build a product for your own customers and need per-customer connections (one OAuth consent per business, tokens held by Prisma) rather than a list of profiles you crawl.
- You want the n8n node and an MCP server that can publish a reply after a human approves it.
Two models, honestly
A crawl of a public profile and an owner connection give different data. Public pages show what the platform chooses to show: on Yelp, the reviews it hasn’t filtered; on Google Play, only the recent ones; on Booking.com, what the property page lists. An owner connection returns the full set the platform exposes to the business, with replies, and lets you post. The trade-off is that owner access needs each business’s authorisation and, on Google and Trustpilot, the platform’s approval of the integrator, which Prisma is still waiting for on both (what works today). Repuso’s model needs neither, which is exactly why it can’t reply.
FAQ
How much does the Repuso Reviews API cost?
Per profile per month: $1.99 for the first 25 profiles, $1.59 for 26 to 100 and $0.99 from 101, each including 1,000 requests a month pooled across the account, with $1 per 1,000 extra requests, according to Repuso’s developer page in October 2026. A 10-day trial needs no card.
Can Repuso reply to reviews?
We found no reply feature in Repuso’s API documentation or MCP tool list as of October 2026; the API reads, monitors and analyses reviews. Prisma publishes replies through each platform’s official API where it allows them.
Does Repuso use official platform APIs?
Repuso describes its collection as crawling profiles on a schedule with a daily refresh, and it can monitor competitor profiles, which only works with public data. Prisma connects with the owner’s authorisation (OAuth or credentials) where the platform has an official API, and reads public pages only for platforms with no API.
Can I move from Repuso to Prisma?
Yes. Both return normalised JSON with rating, text, author, date and reply, so the mapping is small; the difference is that Prisma needs each business to connect its accounts (a link the owner opens), and then exposes replies and per-location webhooks. The quickstart takes a few minutes with a test key.
