Marketplace seller reviews API: eBay, Etsy, Mercado Libre and Amazon feedback
Prisma is a marketplace reviews API: one REST API that reads the reviews of the marketplace sellers you own or manage, from every platform that matters to them, in one JSON shape, with a signed webhook on every new review. Built for multi-channel sellers, marketplace agencies and e-commerce operations tools.
2 locations free. Test keys return sample reviews from every platform. No card, no sales call.
Why marketplace sellers need an API, not six integrations
- eBay feedback is the only marketplace signal with a real seller API, and even there a reply is limited to 80 characters.
- Etsy has a public reviews endpoint but no owner API and no replies.
- Amazon’s Selling Partner API returns seller feedback, not product reviews, and product reviews have no owner API at all.
- Each marketplace uses a different scale: positive, neutral or negative on eBay, stars on Etsy.
Prisma measured all of this when it integrated the platforms; the per-platform rules are in the State of Review Platform APIs 2026.
The platforms, and what each one allows
| Platform | Reply by API | Connects with | Status in Prisma |
|---|---|---|---|
| eBay | Yes, through the official API | OAuth sign-in by the owner | Beta |
| Etsy | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Coming soon, waiting for the platform’s API approval |
| Mercado Libre | No: the platform has no reply API; each review links to the page where you answer | The public page address, no login shared | Coming soon, waiting for the platform’s API approval |
Replies go out by API on eBay. Everywhere else the review comes with its URL and you answer on the platform.
What teams build with it
- One feed of seller feedback and shop reviews across marketplaces, mapped to 5 stars.
- A same-day alert on any negative or neutral eBay feedback, with a reply published by API from your tool.
- Weekly seller-reputation reports per marketplace and per account.
One call, every platform
curl "https://api.prismareviews.com/v1/reviews?platform=ebay&has_reply=false&since=2026-10-01" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PRISMA_API_KEY"Every review comes back with the same fields whatever the platform: id, platform, location_id, rating (always out of 5), title, text, author, language, created_at, reply and url. This call lists the eBay reviews since 1 October that nobody has answered yet; drop the platform filter and you get every platform in one list, newest first. Register a webhook with POST /v1/webhooks to receive review.created the moment a new one is synced; the webhooks reference has the payload and the signature check.
Honest limits
- Prisma reads reviews of businesses you own or manage. It is not a scraper for competitors’ reviews.
- On platforms without a reply API, Prisma can’t post for you; it returns the link and the existing reply.
- Public-page platforms are read on a schedule (every 6 to 24 hours depending on the plan), not in real time; see how often Prisma checks.
- Prisma never writes replies. Your team or your own AI writes them; Prisma publishes the exact text you approve.
FAQ
Can I reply to eBay feedback by API?
Yes. Prisma publishes replies to the feedback you receive through eBay’s official API, up to 80 characters, which is eBay’s limit.
Does Prisma read Amazon product reviews?
No. Amazon has no owner API for product reviews. The Amazon seller feedback page explains what the Selling Partner API does return and what Prisma can and can’t do with it.
Is Etsy supported?
Etsy shop reviews are coming soon, read-only: Etsy’s public reviews API needs an app key per integrator and offers no replies.
