n8n reviews automation: one trigger for 58 review platforms
n8n has a built-in Google Business Profile node, but it needs your own Google Cloud project with approved Business Profile API access, and there is no built-in node for App Store reviews, Google Play, Trustpilot, Judge.me, Yelp or Tripadvisor. The usual workaround is an HTTP Request node per platform, each with its own authentication, quota and JSON. The Prisma Reviews community node replaces that with one trigger that fires on every new review and one action node that reads reviews and publishes replies, across 58 platforms, in one JSON shape.
2 locations free. Test keys return sample reviews from every platform, so the workflow runs before you connect anything.
What the node does
| Node | What it does |
|---|---|
| Prisma Reviews Trigger | Starts a workflow on review.created, review.updated, reply.published, reply.failed or connection.updated. Registers the webhook for you when the workflow is activated and removes it when deactivated. |
| Prisma Reviews | Reviews (get many with filters, get one), replies (create or replace, delete), locations (list, get, refresh), connections (create, list, delete), connect links, platforms, usage and webhooks. “Return All” follows the cursor through every page. |
Every review has the same fields whatever the platform: id, platform, location_id, rating, title, text, author, language, created_at, updated_at, reply and url. A workflow written for Google Play reviews works unchanged for Trustpilot or Yelp.
The node is also marked as usable by n8n’s AI agents (usableAsTool), so an agent node can read and answer reviews with it.
Install
- In n8n go to Settings → Community Nodes → Install and enter
n8n-nodes-prisma-reviews. On a self-hosted instance you can also install it with npm. The package is on npm and the source on GitHub. - Create a key at app.prismareviews.com/api-keys and paste it into a Prisma Reviews API credential. n8n tests it with one call to
GET /v1/usage. - Start with a
pk_test_key: test connections produce sample reviews and replies are never published. Switch topk_live_when the workflow is right.
n8n Cloud and self-hosted both work; community nodes on n8n Cloud require the verified-nodes setting or a self-hosted instance depending on your plan, see n8n’s community nodes guide.
Three workflows people build first
1. New review → Slack (or Teams, Discord, email)
- Prisma Reviews Trigger, event
review.created. - Prisma Reviews: Review → Get, Review ID
{{ $json.data.id }}. - Slack: post
{{ $json.platform }} · {{ $json.rating }}★ · {{ $json.author }}: {{ $json.text }}with{{ $json.url }}as the link to answer it.
Step by step with screenshots: new review alerts in Slack with n8n.
2. Reply to positive reviews from a template
- Prisma Reviews Trigger, event
review.created. - Prisma Reviews: Review → Get.
- If:
{{ $json.rating }}≥ 4 and{{ $json.platform }}is one ofapp_store,google_play,judge_me,trusted_shops,ekomi. - Prisma Reviews: Reply → Create or Replace, Text
Thanks {{ $json.author }}, glad it worked for you.Add an idempotency key (the review id) so a re-run never posts twice. - On
reply.failed, a second trigger sends the review to a human.
Prisma publishes the text your workflow sends; it never writes replies itself. Keep a person in the loop for 1 and 2 star reviews.
3. Reviews into Google Sheets, Notion or a warehouse
- Schedule Trigger, daily.
- Prisma Reviews: Review → Get Many,
since= yesterday, Return All. - Google Sheets / Notion / Postgres: append rows. One sheet for every platform, because the columns are the same.
Which platforms the trigger covers
All 39, listed with their access rules on Which review platforms have an API?. Replies by API work today on the App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, eBay, Trusted Shops and eKomi. Public Google reviews are read through Google Maps; replies through the Google Business Profile API open once Google approves Prisma’s access, and the same Reply → Create operation will cover them without changing the workflow.
Without the node: HTTP Request + Webhook nodes
If you prefer not to install a community node, the API is plain REST. Use a Webhook node as the endpoint, register it with POST /v1/webhooks and verify the Prisma-Signature header in a Code node, as described on review webhooks. Then an HTTP Request node calls GET /v1/reviews/{id} with the bearer key. Make and Zapier work the same way with their webhook and HTTP modules.
FAQ
Does n8n have a Google reviews trigger?
Not built in. The Prisma Reviews Trigger node fires on review.created for Google Maps, the App Store, Google Play, Trustpilot and 28 more platforms, so one trigger covers every review source. Google Business Profile replies will join once Google approves Prisma’s API access.
Can n8n reply to reviews automatically?
Yes, on the platforms with an official reply API: the App Store, Google Play, Judge.me, eBay, Trusted Shops and eKomi. The Reply → Create operation publishes the text your workflow builds. On read-only platforms the review carries a link to answer it on the platform.
Is the n8n node free?
Yes. The node is open source and the Prisma free plan covers 2 connected locations, with test keys that return sample reviews so you can build the workflow before connecting anything.
